The David M. Sherman Memorial Scholarship

The Rotary of Orange is pleased to announce that Johan Solleveld Jr., is the 2024 recipient of the David M. Sherman Memorial Scholarship. The $5,000 annual scholarship is awarded to a deserving Orange County High School graduate who plans to attend Virginia Tech and study engineering.

Johan attended the Rotary of Orange meeting to receive his scholarship award before heading off to Virginia Tech as an incoming Freshman.

Rotarians Cal Ewing and Bill Hager were instrumental in establishing the Rotary Club of Orange – David M. Sherman Memorial Scholarship with the emphasis on the study of engineering.
