Six More Lives Transformed — Rotary Brings Hope Through Mobility

At the Divyang Kendra Center, the mission is clear: to restore independence, dignity, and hope—one step at a time through its Limb Project. Thanks to the continued efforts of the Rotary Club of Herndon-Reston and the Rotary Club of Delhi Central (District 3011), six more individuals have received in-house crafted prosthetic limbs through this life-changing initiative. Each story is a powerful testament to human resilience and the impact of compassionate service.
- One recipient now walks alongside his children with confidence and joy.
- Another is preparing to return to school, her eyes set on a brighter future.
- A hardworking man is regaining his footing—both literally and professionally.
- A grandmother now moves freely within her community, proud and independent.
- A young lady is walking again and dreaming big of education, friendships, and possibilities.
- A dedicated worker is back on his feet and looking ahead with purpose.
Each story carries a quiet strength. Each step forward reminds us that mobility is more than movement—it’s freedom, hope, and a new beginning. This journey began with two individuals. Now, eight lives have been changed through a $1,000 donation, and many more are on the horizon. Because when Rotary steps in, people rise.
