New CART Chair for D7610
My name is Joan McGregor, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the new CART Chair for D7610. For those unfamiliar, CART, or the Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust, is an incredible initiative with a unique focus, because 100% of donations go directly to Alzheimer’s research-ensuring that every penny contributes to finding a cure.
This cause is deeply personal for me, as my own mother suffered from Alzheimer’s. Watching her struggle with this disease was incredibly difficult, and it has motivated me to dedicate myself to the fight against it. Through my work with CART, I feel like I’m not only helping advance research but also keeping my mom’s memory alive, ensuring that her name is never forgotten.
Alzheimer’s touches so many families, just like mine, and I know that together, we as Rotarians can make a real difference. My goal as D7610 Chair is to bring CART to each of our clubs and inspire everyone to join this important cause. Together, through small contributions, we can play a big role in advancing research and moving closer to finding a cure.
To learn more about CART, visit the CART website at www.cartfund.org. There, you’ll find everything from the history of CART (started by a Rotarian, supported by Rotarians), the blue CART buckets and different ways to contribute as a club. It’s a great resource to see how donations are making a difference.
I’m here to support you in bringing the blue CART buckets to your clubs and to answer any questions you have. Let’s make a real impact together and ensure that no one’s story is forgotten.
I can be reached at joanlmcgregor0@gmail.com if you have any questions or how your club can also support CART. Thank you so much for your support!
