Rotary International and the Washington Nationals are teaming up this season to eradicate polio worldwide. The August 25 game versus the Chicago Cubs has been designated as End Polio Now Night. We can participate in this special evening by purchasing tickets to the game. For each ticket sold, the Washington Nationals are contributing $3.00 to Rotary's PolioPlus Fund.

Coordinate with your club to reserve a block of seats today. We will begin reserving the Left Field Mezzanine seats ($28 each) until they are filled and then move down to the Field Level seats Left Field Corner Seats $33), Left Field Baseline Seats ($43). . Please send checks and your bulk orders to District Treasurer John Grezjka at 9389 Cloudberry Way, Manassas, VA 20110. All checks should be addressed to Rotary District 7610. In order to to set aside a block of seats at least 100 tickets must be purchased first by our district.

Contact Vance Zavela for a promotional flyer or more information. Tickets will be distributed at future district events between now and August 25. Any tickets that are not collected will be kept by Vance until other arrangements can be made. DEADLINE FOR ORDERS IS JULY 18. Our district must pay the Washington Nationals in full for all tickets no later than July 25. No refunds or exchanges will be made. Tickets will not be left at will call for pick up. Youth Exchange Opportunities for Clubs in D7610

Inbound Exchange Students: Itir (Turkey), Sergio (Spain), Pauline (Belgium) and Jan (Germany)

Our District participates in Rotary International's Youth Exchange Program, sending high school students from our communities overseas for a school year and receiving students sponsored by corresponding Rotary Clubs overseas. Next year (school year 2010 – 2011) the district hopes to send and receive five students district-wide.

As your club leadership considers budgets and priorities for the next Rotary year we urge you to consider hosting or co-hosting an Inbound Student. These students are screened and selected by Rotary Clubs overseas and sent to us via ESSEX in August to begin school in the Fall. Please see here for the complete article.
